SUBJECT:

Please Save Mission Beach! Oppose AB 1731

SAMPLE MESSAGE:

Dear Assembly Members,

PLEASE SAVE MISSION BEACH!

This bill would be disastrous for our local beach economy and culture, which is supported by vacation rentals and the guests they accommodate. This bill does not address the real issues and would limit coastal access for families looking for an affordable way to visit the beach.

AB 1731 is exactly the type of restrictive bill that was rescinded in 2018 by over 62,000 signatures. San Diego does not want this type of bill. AB 1731 is an overreach into a matter that should be decided at the local level. Please oppose AB 1731 and let San Diego address short-term rentals in a reasonable and collaborative fashion.
